If you are feeling like you are in need of moving your body, expanding your heart, and mindfully experiencing the outdoors, we hope you'll join us. This Spiritual Backcountry Adventure for Rabbis & Cantors: Rosh Hodesh Elul in the Wilderness is for Rabis & Cantors guided by Francine Roston & Wild North Guides. Join us for an inspiring adventure into the woods and up to pristine alpine lakes. No matter if you have experience backpacking or not, we would love for you to join us.
We’ll spend two nights indoors, two nights camping under the stars, and finish our trip with one last night of indoor comfort.
Over the course of 5 days, you’ll be immersed in the alpine wilderness around Northwestern Montana. If you’re feeling up to it, your guides will offer stretching, meditation, and journaling time every day. Spend your days swimming in lakes and your nights warming up next to a campfire (depending on our fire ban status). We will spend a day in Glacier National Park watercoloring and sightseeing before we head into the backcountry for our 2 nights beneath the stars. As you’ll have all meals (vegetarian, vegan, GF) included and plenty of optional activities to try out, you can relax and look at this trip as a quick getaway from your everyday life! Francine will be bringing her meditation expertise, and will help guide and facilitate our group to reconnect with themselves in nature.
You should be able to cover 4-6 miles with around 35-40 lbs of weight in your backpack (please don't let the weight requirement scare you, we can adjust it). Reminder: we provide ALL the gear, food, and transportation. All you need to bring is yourself, your clothes, medications if you have any, and your toiletries.
