This trip -- led and co-planned by Lydia & me (a bit of a surprise trip for my husband) -- was EPIC! We envisioned and booked the trip with Wild North Guides last January and with each month closer to the reserved time, we became more and more excited. The actual experience far outpaced our imagination & dreams -- every single detail was accounted for and even details we didn't expect. Lydia is a consummate professional and the highest caliber athlete! She was so easy to be with, exceptionally knowledgeable about the terrain, the history of the land, the native American history, the National Parks, the wildlife, the agriculture, the local "hot spots", the food, -- everything! She intuitively adjusted our hikes to our pace with ease and grace. She pivoted to "plan b" as needed when schedules shifted only based on pace and curiousity. She provided all equipment, coordinated seamless handoffs with each hotel and/or transportation partner, and the food she provided and/or made reservation for was top notch! And on top of it all -- she was just plain kind, thoughtful, generous and funny. We will never forget this experience and honestly cannot imagine any future exploration trips without her/Wild North Guides. Our experience was EXCEPTIONAL!! Thank you!!

The Ladies Beginner Backpacking trip was fabulous! Sally and Madison are wonderful guides and I would highly recommend this trip for anyone who is interested in backpacking but is not sure where to start. The guides are knowledgeable and encouraging - I would definitely use Wild North Guides for future trips.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! This was a great introduction into backpacking les by two people who truly love what they do. Sally and Madison’s love of the outdoors is contagious and made the experience a memorable one. Looking forward to some INTL offerings in the future.

I booked a 1/2 day Photography tour in Glacier with Lydia and Jack. They were phenomenal. Prompt with pick up and provided a wonderful balance of sharing about the park and focusing on photography. Lydia is incredibly knowledgeable and delivers all of her info in a light hearted way that is very appealing. Jack is clearly a photography pro and helped me level up in my skills. They were both also really flexible with arranging the day to help me meet up with my travel group and take some photos with them. Thank you both!
